Saint Isaac's Cathedral is a cathedral in Saint Petersburg. It was completed in 1858 after four decades of construction. The exterior is faced with light gray stone, and has a total of 112 granite columns. The cathedral's height is 101.5 metres. Its dome is gilded. The interior is adorned with incredibly detailed mosaic icons, paintings and columns made of malachite and lapis lazuli.
